Australia's pioneer Bollywood and Bhangra DJ is celebrating 30 years of music in 2023. Richi was honoured to be nominated for last year's UK Bhangra Awards in the category of "Best International Artist". His latest releases include Melbourne to Mumbai and End of Kalyug (available on Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube). Check out his radio show Mumbai Masala every Saturday on Mixcloud (now in its 14th year).
In 2019, Richi celebrated the 10th anniversary of Australia's first Diwali song Diwali Aayi Hai.
In 2018, he marked 25 years of DJing with the release of his debut album Reflection and music video Papa. He performed Mere Punjab Da Nahi Jawab at the launch party.
Originally from London, Richi started the first ever Bollywood and Bhangra club nights in Melbourne in the 1990's. He left behind careers in Law and IT in 2004 to follow his passion of music full time.
